I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland outside of our home. The snow was falling at a fast pace creating all kinds of photo opportunities. One of my favorite pictures of the day is this action shot of four birds on my neighbor’s bird feeder. I am not sure what the two birds in the middle are doing, but the bird on the top seems to be having a good time watching.
I cropped this image heavily in order to get rid of the distractions around it. I had my lens zoomed to its maximum at 200mm. I would have loved to have a 1.4x teleconverter to give me more distance, but alas, I do not have one just yet. Heavy cropping will just have to do for now.
In post I also cloned out a small piece our deck on the right edge of the photograph. As a last step, I ran it through Noise Ninja to smooth out the noise.
A self-proclaimed tech-geek, I enjoy anything powered by batteries or electricity. I'm not happy until I understand the full potential of any new gadget I get my hands on....
